Safari at a Glance
Safari at a Glance
5 Days · Stone Town · Nungwi · Kendwa
Zanzibar is unlike anywhere else on earth. It is an island that carries centuries of history in its sea air – Arab traders, Portuguese explorers, Swahili poets – all of it layered into the coral-stone walls of a town that UNESCO felt was worth preserving forever.
This journey begins in those winding streets, where the scent of cloves and cardamom drifts through carved doorways and the Indian Ocean glitters at every turn. Then it moves to the coast, where the water is impossibly clear, the sand is powder-fine, and the only agenda is the two of you. A private dhow on open water. A seafood lunch on a sandbank with no one else in sight. A candlelit dinner as the stars come out over the reef.
Five days. One island. A story worth telling for the rest of your lives.
Detailed Safari

Day 1: A First Taste of the Island
Arrival · Stone Town
Zanzibar welcomes you slowly, and that is exactly as it should be. A private transfer carries you from the airport into the heart of Stone Town, where your boutique hotel sits within the old coral-stone quarter. As the afternoon light turns golden, make your way to a rooftop terrace overlooking the seafront for sunset cocktails with the ocean spread out before you. The evening unfolds over an intimate dinner of Swahili-fusion cuisine, rich with the spices this island has traded for centuries.

Day 2: Stories in Stone, Senses in the Soil
Stone Town · Spice Farm · North Coast
Morning belongs to Stone Town. A private guided walking tour takes you through its labyrinth of lanes, past carved wooden doors, old Arab houses, and squares where the whole world seems to converge. History here is not behind glass; it is in the walls around you. After lunch, the landscape changes as you visit an organic spice farm for a sensory tour unlike anything in the travel brochures. Fresh ginger, vanilla, nutmeg, and cloves straight from the source. A farm lunch follows, and then a private transfer to your beachfront resort on the north coast, where the pace drops to near silence.

Day 3: Blue Water, White Sand, Nothing Else
Sandbank · Coral Reef · Open Ocean
This is the day that tends to stay with people longest. A private wooden dhow picks you from the shore and sails out to a secluded sandbank sitting alone in the middle of the Indian Ocean. You snorkel above coral reefs that are alive with colour, spot the marine life that makes these waters one of East Africa’s best-kept secrets, and when hunger arrives, your crew serves a fresh seafood grill right there on the sand with the ocean all around you.
The return journey is unhurried, the sail timed perfectly for sunset. A candlelit beachfront dinner brings the day to a close.

Day 4 – The Art of Doing Nothing Well
Nungwi / Kendwa Beach
Some of the best days on a honeymoon are the ones with nothing planned. Begin with a long breakfast watching the ocean shift colour with the morning light. A couples’ spa session follows, the kind that reminds you what true rest feels like. The afternoon is entirely yours: a swim in water so clear you can see the seabed ten metres down, a walk along a beach that seems to go on forever, or simply the pool and a good book. As evening arrives, a private farewell dinner under the stars brings this chapter of the journey to a close in the way it deserves.

Day 5 – Until Next Time
Zanzibar Departure
The last morning asks nothing of you. A slow breakfast, one final swim, and a quiet walk along the shore before you pack. Your private driver will be waiting to take you to the airport for your onward journey. Zanzibar has a habit of following you home.
This itinerary is a starting point. Our safari designers will tailor every detail around your pace, your group, and the moments that matter most.
